Our farmhouse loaves are back!

Good news from our bakery! 🌾

The time has finally come again: we have received fresh grain from the Rosenwirtshof in Tiers! Wheat, rye, and now spelt have arrived, freshly cleaned and ready to be processed into flour in our own mill.

Over the past few weeks, some of our bread varieties have had to take a short break. We still had rye in stock, but we could mainly only use it to bake our Tierserlaibchen and Bergsteiger rolls. We were missing the right wheat for our farmhouse loaves.

Now our grain supplies have been restocked, and that means: Our popular farmhouse loaves are coming back!

From local fields straight to our bakery

What we are particularly happy about is that we know exactly where our grain comes from. It grows right here in Tiers at the Rosenwirtshof. We mill it fresh ourselves in our own grain mill and then process it into our bread.

Short distances, local grain, and genuine artisan baking – that is exactly how we imagine good bread to be.

And there is something new, too…

This year, for the first time, we have also received spelt from the Rosenwirtshof!

Of course, we already have a few ideas about what we could make with it. But we won't reveal too much just yet. Just this much: A new bread variety is already being planned!

Stay tuned to see what we create from our local spelt in the coming weeks.

We look forward to baking for you again with fresh grain from Tiers!

Our Sourdough

Sourdough is our natural dough starter made from flour and water. The long fermentation time creates more flavor, a stable dough structure, and breads that stay fresh longer.
